Introduction:
Turkish Coffee is part of my family's daily life and is part of our culture. Currently Turkish Coffee, in Israel, is offered in non eco-friendly packaging and has dated look. For this project, I wanted to bring a more modern take on the packaging while staying within the culture and ritual behind Turkish Coffee.
Research Methodology:
The research for this project encompasses the history of the Turkish Coffee along with different ways to create eco-friendly packaging.
Target Audience:
The target audience for this project are people who drink Turkish Coffee.
Strategy:
The packaging, even with the modern take, will still encompass the colors that
have become recognizable for Turkish Coffee buyers. Creating illustrations that represent the planets that are used to make the coffee. The illustrations will bring a textural aspect to the packaging that I feel that the current packaging style is lacking.
Objective:
To create packaging that encompasses the modern and cultural aspects of Turkish Coffee.
Name:
Turkish Coffee, in Israel, has nickname that translates to mud coffee. The reason for this nickname is due to grounds that reside in the bottom of the cup and the resemblance to mud.
Role:
Designer, art director, illustrator, production, photographer.
Typeface:
KoHo.
