Overview

In two-week increments, I executed deliverable’s from Interactive Pages to news media apps. All while receiving feedback from CNN editors, writer, designers, directors and team leads across the globe. At the end, I presented my body of work to the entire CNN Digital team.

Introduction:
The task to create an entire News Interactive. This is included coming up with the main idea or headline, moodboard and sketches, writing the content, creating the wireframes and re-flow, story top or graphics, and putting all those components together to create a holistic News interactive.

Research Methodology:
The research for the overall project was based on the overarching idea/headline along with creating a News Interactive that, stylistically, represented . 

Target Audience:
The target audience for this News Interactive are users or readers of a wide range from teen to adults of all ages. 

Objective:
To create all the components of a CNN News Interactive.

Role:
Designer, art director, production, photographer.

CNN Sans Display, CNN Style, T Start Mono Round, Cedarville

Research

CNN News Interactive: 
For this News Interactive, I researched the CNN website to see what type of layouts they used and how much they would change based on the topic. Not only was the News Interactive to be visually appealing, there had to be consideration of the adds, potential sponsorship, and longevity of the interactive. With this in mind, I would also consider those factors when looking at other interactives on the CNN website.

Headline: 
Drawing the user to a News Interactive will be the headline. Initially  I came up with a whole list of ideas, narrowed that list down to three, and ultimately down to one. The idea or headline for this interactive was 'Analog and Digital, why choose?' 

Analog and Digital, why choose?: 
This news interactive is formed around the idea of incorporating both Analog and Digital into various industries. Most people today rely solely on their computers to create or complete a task, but we often forget that we have other tools outside of the computer. This incorporation of both, Analog and Digital, has many beneficial attributes that can be used and are being used in a variety of different industries. Highlighting the truly analog and digital aspects of various industries that also related to the different sections of the CNN website. For the research portion, I looked up these different industries like politics to see how the incorporated analog and digital.
